Mazda produces most fuel-efficient gasoline car

Mazda Motor Corporation reported its next Mazda2/Demio subcompact would get fuel economy of 30 km/litre without the help of an electric motor. It makes the vehicle the most fuel-efficient gasoline car in the world. It will be the first product to be equipped with diesel engine and transmission technology of next generation SKYACTIV, Autorambler reports referring to Reuters.

According to, Chief Executive Officer Takashi Yamanouchi, the price for Demio will be lower than a hybrid of the same segment.
